UK poll: Theresa May has her best approval rating since becoming Prime Minister

Sunday, December 16, 2018

Theresa May’s approval ratings are the highest since she became Britain’s prime minister, in 2016, according to a poll by Opinium Research.

Opinium Research questioned 2016 British adults on the 13th and 14th of December in an online survey.

This news comes after the recent, unsuccessful, vote of no confidence in her, her controversially pulling a vote on the Brexit deal and her not gaining any concessions from the EU.

47% of the voters questioned said that they thought she was brave and kept to her principles.

Also, Labour’s lead against her party, the Conservatives, dropped to just one percent after Labours lead stayed the same while the Conservatives rose by 2%. Now, Labour has 39% , while the Conservatives have 38%.

However, not everything was good for Theresa May. For example, 53% of the people said they disliked how she was handling Brexit, with only 28% saying they approved.

33% of the people said that they believe the UK will leave the EU without a deal.
